They could anchor them out in the gulf and ferry them out in fishing boats or barges..... wonder why no one in FEMA is putting something like that in motion?
My guess is that it would take to long to get the ships out of mothballs, and then they would have to be retofited.
We don't know if they are or not. In any event, you can't just decide to pack up a cruise ship and set sail at the drop of the hat. It'd take days to get a ship stocked, crewed, and ready to go.
