The bad thing is, some people don't like New Orleans. In fact, many seem to HATE it. I guess you either love it or you hate it. That's bad news, because the city and the state are so horribly poor to begin with, they are going to need every resource they can get. Will people rally around New Orleans? I don't see it. I think many people who have never been there are just watching this with curiosity, or saying "they shouldn't have lived there to begin with." I hope I'm wrong.
The elite loves it, most have been there, and loved it, and the media is the elite, so that was my point. I just thought the place was fantastic myself. I am so grateful for the time I spent in paradise lost.
