When we lived in So. Cal we kept a backpack with water, food, radio, money, in each car as well as a pair of running shoes.

That is fine. Now just picture all of this under fifteen feet of water.

Well.. that is why God gave me a brain. With pre-warning (not the case with earthquakes) I would have loaded the dogs, coolers, computer (for work) boat and SUV and hit the road last Friday.
