Trapped, but not in immediate danger of drowning. That's a huge difference.
Not sure if I heard this in the past or just came up with it... but it seems to me if they named Hurricanes after men or scary things... people would take the warnings more seriously!
Mayor Ray Nagin on CNN now. The bowl is now filling up with water. Like 911 FEMA will take over. Has gone from a local to a Federal issue.

On Saturday I was afraid that the winds were going to blow the Superdome apart.
It never occured to me that it could survive only to start filling with water. If too much water gets in there, they'll have to start lifting people out through the holes in the roof.
The video on WWL of the NO damage is making me physically ill.
Who was that NO official on Fox News who said, "The situation is fluid."?
Which is why, as I posted on an earlier thread, you would have had to drag me kicking and screaming into the Superdome. I'd rather sit on my roof in the great outdoors and at peace with my God.
Unreal. They're going to have to think and move fast down there. When they did get the breach fixed, there was already 2 feet of water around the SD.
