OH Really? The portions of the state north of the Lake are LOWER than the lake? You know: the places that got all that rain as Katrina moved upstate? Where did all that rain run off then... to the NORTH? Don't think so.
Rain runoff is not the big problem - the River will conly crest 1' higher in next 5 days.
These levee breaks and the failure to HAVE A PLAN to plug them will increase the cost 100 fold - in $ and lives.
