The most help many of us can be is to stay calm, send a check where it might do some good, make a lame joke that'll put a smile on the face of someone in here who might have reason to shed tears soon, and don't panic.

It's still a disaster³, and more people will likely die, but that's what it is, regardless how much any of us want it to be otherwise.

Personally, I'd like to have the resources at the moment to load my tools and drive down there to help rebuild, but it's a good bet that one more half-crippled semi-geezer would be more of a nuisance than anything else.

Reality bites.
