I feel sorry for Landrieu,,New Orleans is her heart, her family is there, her father was Mayor. She looks shell shocked.

The Gov is dumb I do believe. Bobby Jindal should have been Gov and I do think Mike Foster would have stepped up to the plate here.

But La is a poor state, democratic for the most part and we had Huey Long if you remember. Long history of poor government.

And I don't think the Gov wants to say that New Orleans is full of toxic chems, waste, bacteria and cess filled water at this point. I mean who would.

"Poor government"? Oh my God! You know better than that: Louisiana is the BANANA REPUBLIC of the United States. It's so bad that, when the Wall Street Journal ran an editorial on New Jersey political corruption several months ago, they titled it "Louisiana North".

Kathleen Blanco, meanwhile, is literally the stupidest living thing ever to stumble its way into Baton Rouge. Having her as the public face of this state, especially now, is beyond embarrassing.

Has Vitter done well in this? I like him from what I have seen and hope he has made contributions.

I do feel for Landrieu. Tidewater Virginia is where my heart and soul belong, no matter where I go. If anything such as this happened, I would be shell shocked also.
