NEW DELHI: US president George Bush is likely to visit India in the first week of February 2006. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing on dates, both sides have finally found a week when Manmohan Singh and Bush can have a date in peace.
The world has changed since Bill Clinton came by in March 2000. And India is no longer obsessed with whether Bush visits Pakistan. That's the difference. Both sides are working out deliverables for the visit. But apart from agreements and high-profile engagements, what is still up in the air is how much of India/Bharat is Bush going to experience? He has a hard act to follow.

Maybe one of the reasons for his visit is he needs computer tech support. I think all such CSRs are over there.

He is having a problem with his Dell he just can't seem to get fixed over the phone.
Aside, I just gotta new HP. Boy am I sorry I did. I had a problem with IIS configuration and spent $120 on tech support...YES! I had to buy it! It took me 45 minutes out of the hour I purchased, to understand the SOB...man was I pissed! Got no response from the cordial email I sent HP afterwards...
(Sigh...)
I remember being very excited when President Bush Sr. indicated a desire to pursue much closer US/India relations, but he never really followed through. I hope GW does more!
India may send troops to Afghanistan
29 August 2005: India will commit troops to Afghanistan to cover the two-thirds US withdrawal, but only if Afghan president Hamid Karzai sends a request letter, although he made clear in the recent meeting with prime minister Manmohan Singh that “Afghanistan’s security is India’s security”.
But still India wants a formal request, although the US first broached for Indian deployment when its defence secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, met the Indian defence minister, Pranab Mukherjee, earlier to the PM’s visit, seeking a form commitment, and Afghanistan separately spoke the same issue.

May I suggest persistence? A while back I got HP to drop their charges. I knew I was in trouble when the tech support guy asked, "Sir, is there anything on your computer that you want to keep?" Kept complaining about this "support" and they finally gave up. Of course, I am more obnoxious than most. . . .
Thanks!
Bush Sr. huh, It was just the end of the Cold War, both sides India and America would've still been suspecting each others motives. Taliban changed all that.
It's pretty f#ed up being ethnically Afghan after the Taliban era. I'm looked at as some tribal guy, especially by westerners I talk to. lol
/me living in a well furnished apartment right in the heart of New Delhi city
And I don't have any goats or camels, just a cat that doesn't like me very much. :(
I am quite sure there are a few here that would beg to differ with you today...but thats another story! I tried a few times on email but got zip... I wrote it off and added another notch on the downside of outsourcing.
If so, we'll expect you to write a full report exclusively for FR. :)
Well, this is huge news....Pakistan will have a tissy-fit! Mushy might end up making Kashmir bleed even more to drive home his point. They might even strike up the dead Kahalistani movement. What's your take on Mushy??
He's a b1tch. How the Pak army created the Taliban to gain control of Afghanistan, and now abandons them and pretends to take a moral high ground. And many here laughed our asses off as America bought "Pakistan is innocent" sotry back then.
When things start going wrong, Mushy will be the first to dump you guys. Good luck.
