re: manipulation...Weldon seems to have been pretty savvy up til now in handling this, letting the 9/11 Omission and Pentagon make preemptory statements, then bringing out the witnesses to sink those statements. I surmise that he is (1)giving the media time to contemplate whether they want to cover this or not and (2) letting some folks stew, wondering what else he has, in hopes they will make a mistake in whom they talk to.
OTOH, I'm a lousy politician.
