I've been thinking for a couple of days now about the whole "get Karl Rove" thing that was happening just 6 weeks ago and how it relates to this August.

As a coach, I sometime run schemes that are specifically intended to "clear the decks" so that I can accomplish my goals unimpeded.

I think that the effort to get Rove on specious data was specifically intended to remove the architect before the August Sheehan onslaught.

Further, I have to wonder if this Weldon stuff is the political response to a brutally unfair attack.

Well their running game was hammered futilely into the GOP line and now the offense is reduced to motion penalties, illegal procedure, holding and illegal formation over and over.

I appreciate your thoughts on this, and I agree that in Washington politics NOTHING happens by coincidence. But trust me, the architect has NOT been removed. Joe Wislon and his wife have been exposed as lying scum and are already gathering dust in the bargain bin, along with their book. Already forgotten.

And all but the looniest of the lefties just look downward and shake their heads in embarrassment at Cindy Sheehan. In a week or so, the hurricane will be old news and Congress goes back in session. And the scandal will unfold in earnest.
