You don't own a business do you?

I am held both civilly and even criminally liable if an employee is told to do something illegal.
It's called acts by employer in conspiracy.
Many employers go to jail for the acts of their employees.

Happens every day.
Not that I believe Al will be held accountable.
But he could.

Stay on track. Don't confuse this discussion with the fact that we'd BOTH like to see Al pay for SOMETHING...ANYTHING.

But we're almost there. You've attained a plateau, you agree that there's no criminal case against Al.

Now, don't get off on a tangent. Just name who the plaintiff would be for the civil case and I'm on board with you. (Hint: There isn't one, which is why he can't be held responsible in a civil suit either.)
