At least it wasn't a repeat of Hurricane Android (Andrew)obliterating that one town. But it was still plenty devastating enough.

I was in the northern eye wall of Andrew (165++ mph). These pictures are very reminiscent of the aftermath, except we didn't have this much water. A few feet of it for a day or so, but not like this. The wind damage was worse, but the flooding here makes this storm worse overall in my estimation.

We didn't have a whole lot of looting after Andrew, after a couple of looters were shot by some of the locals and it was reported on the news. One guy was shot in the face, and it was gruesome. Not much looting after that..

Ouch.
Just heard that what I was afraid of last night is happening down that way right now.
Mississippi flooding due to rain further north.
