I don't understand how anyone could leave their pets behind....totally selfish.

Not going to a shelter is totally stupid...and shelters don't take pets.

A WDSU news crew captured images of looters raiding a Winn-Dixie on Basin Street.

<sarcasm>What's wrong with looting? They have to eat!</sarcasm>

I feel so sorry for these poor people, some don't have much and with this storm they stand to loose it all.... I hope they receive help in re-building their lives..

The only help I've heard about is from Chavez in Venezuela believe it or not. He's offered food and fuel to the people of the area. Strange.

Not once, even last year, with all of the devastation from three hurricanes in a row, did ANY other countries offer to come to aid of the US. But we are expected time and again to give BILLIONS of dollars of our money to help others. And we do it gladly, out of the goodness of our hearts...no matter how much they hate us.

A view of the Sadler Apartments in Biloxi, Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina destroyed them and close to 100 condominiums on the Biloxi waterfront August 29, 2005. Hurricane Katrina ripped into the U.S. Gulf Coast on Monday, stranding people on rooftops as it pummeled the historic jazz city New Orleans with 100 mph (160 kph) winds and swamped Mississippi resort towns and lowlands with a crushing surge of seawater. Just heartbreaking . . .

David Diaz (L) and his brother Jesus Diaz walk among the rubble of about 30 Sadler Apartments and 100 St Charles Condonimums that were obliterated by Hurricane Katrina August 29, 2005. 'We're looking for our house,' said Jesus Diaz as he clutched a small box, his only possession left. OMG OMG OMG OMG

This house is on the Grand Lagoon in Panama City Beach. My parents live right off of the Lagoon, but we did not think they were in any danger. I am getting no answer at their house. Trying to get hold of other siblings to see if they have heard from them. My dad is 85 and my mom is 83. PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM!!!!

We must stop the government from encouraging population growth in these areas. The price in the loss of human lives and property is too high. I live in the danger zone and am well aware of the risks and rewards. Most who move here are not.

PRAYING!

Listen, Dems_R_Losers, call the police. Here is the information:

Phone (850) 233-5000/Emergency # 911
Location: 17110 Firenzo Avenue, Panama City Beach, Fl 32413

They will be able to tell you what happened to that area.
