I agree---I was disappointed with it...
I just didn't want to rain on the ONE time that "our side" actually got some attention.
However, you are right on all accounts, and I was also disappointed that either Brit didn't do his homework and was stumbling a little because of that...or was doing a bad job of pretending he knew nothing about the groups.
On Saturday, they were saying that our group was being funded by Move America Forward, LIKE, Cindy's group was being funded by Moveon.org....like there were similar money amounts....never mentioned that most of the people there were there on their OWN dime!
Yes, I too am glad that the pro-mission demonstration got some attention, and please don't think my tone is directed anywhere but at the press.
But getting lynched is also getting attention, just not the kind most of us would want.
IMNSHO, that interview did more damage than good. IMNSHO none of them with rare exceptions (Michael Barone and Michael Barone) are reporters, they are presstitutes.
Brit, I hardly knew ye.
How many people belong to Free Republic?
Code Pink? Answr?
Time to jack up the IV.
whoa. Not what I saw at all.
Britt, as always, did a FANTASTIC job. He and York had talked about this beforehand and this interview was not for YOU or for conservatives or Freepers. It was for middle of the road types, or the average Joe watching who does not go to Freepr.
Britt did it slow and easy and simple so that maybe some people out there in TV Land might just go, " Ohhh? Hmmmm? Really?" The average person has been saturated with the left media version of Al-Sheehan. This was one ..rare...opportunity to let them see another view. IMO both York and Britt did a great job at that.
That is Brit's MO. He does that to elicit/beg/lead the story out of the correspondent.
