Last year he was convicted of grand theft in the 'accidental' purloining of a valuable bracelet or ring from a jeweller. Svend was tried and convicted and resigned his seat in the House though I believe he may have regained it in the last election. The balance of power has changed in the Canadian Parliament since Svend had his little 'misunderstanding' so he's not much of an asset (or threat) currently. That's as much as I've been able to find on some of the more shadowy types behind Sheehan. The more obvious ones like Ben & Jerry's you already know about.
