Actually is is a software program that is used with a PCI HDTV card from ATI. The Card is fantastic and also has an analog connection. The unit comes with the HD antenna for over the air HDTV and it comes with a remote (that also acts as a wireless mouse). You can watch in full screen or in a small screen while Freeping! You can also set up the video as the computer desktop. I bought the ATI-HDTV at CompUSA for about $160 and I think pretty much anyone can install it if you have an open PCI slot. Buy a 20 foot Cable extension and put the HDTV antenna in your attic. Your standard cable television will connect to the analog connector and will work great.
The unit will also record to your hard drive and will pause real-time video...As far as the ability to capture a transcript, the unit also captures still pictures in the transcript and saves the file as HTML, Word or notebook.
