OK found this Blurb in a story in the Oxford Miss press -- Only mention of the USS Alabama I can find so far. It mentions the buildings are completely flooded but nothing more -- says reports are sketchy

In Mobile Bay, it appeared that waters inundated buildings near the historic battleship USS Alabama, a tourist attraction docked on a causeway that crosses the broad bay. It was impossible to confirm the extent of the damage, however, as the reports were sketchy and contained no commentary.

I haven't been following these threads this afternoon, I needed sleep.

But I recently heard an interview with the Director of the USS Alabama, who said he and his Staff ALWAYS stay on board the Alabama during a Hurricane.

So I imagine they have communications?
