What did the mayor say about the breach?

I listened to this hours ago and have been haunted by the mayor's matter of fact mention of a two block long breach. He even admitted that they were working against themselves as they pumped water back into the lake only to flood the area again. He seems to be just waiting around for the feds to do something, but I could not believe he was not talking about getting people out of there. They are losing ground fast to a breach that large.
One of the local anchors asked him if they needed help from locals to sandbag the area. He just said he was sure they would need some help with all kinds of things, but he did not convey any sense of urgency. I was left speechless and very disturbed.

He mentioned it .. the breach .. in his lengthy update on that wwl tv interview link ... in his very "N'awlins" style. He was ticking off a huge list of all the damage and pressing issues. At the end, he said "But the good news is the President said .. just give us your wish list, and we'll do all we can... and the Federal gummint is ready to give us everything we need." He's the LAST person I'd wish to be mayor in this kind of devastation .. or, for that matter, BEFORE the impending devastation.
