Regardless, that's just one possible reason people may not have left. Others may not have had transportation available to them, may have (foolishly) tried to protect a business, etc. Still others may be emergency personnel and police.

It's very easy to sit in judgment of these folks, but the truth is some people have a legitimate reason for staying. Certainly, not everyone who does stay deserves the kind of scorn you've heaped upon them here.

And, no, all the senior citizens and disabled were not taken to the Superdome. They either had to get there themselves or get to a transport location.
