um.. how about walking to a freaking shelter!
give me a break, you guys are just trying to make excuses for these people.
face it, they wanted to stay, they knew the risks, but ignored them.
There were, at most, 10 shelters in the City of New Orleans. Some of the people who stayed behind did not have money to rent cars and leave. And some of the people who I watched wait to get into the Super Dome were elderly and using walkers. And you want them to WALK to the shelter? Unbelievable.
