He said he attended a 9th birthday party for Kodee at the Carbondale Pizza Hut. So did he lie, or did he actually show up at a Pizza Hut and think that he went to the girls party?

The media wants him on the air to honor him.
After all, the story might have been true and that's all that matters.

I'm not sure why the media wants him so badly.
Is he somehow going to blame Bush?
Is he a right-wing kook they want to expose?
Again, maybe I'm dense, but what's the story here?

I somehow doubt he was really THAT stupid.....Many are those who want to believe something even if there is a possibility of it being false. Rather than checking the validity of it they go on in dream land believing what they want it to be.

I'll just point out that most journalists have no more training or professional instruction than this joker.
This is a particularly egregious example, but journalists screw up all the time by trusting fake sources - and very few of them have the apparatus that Rather had.

Whatever moves the left's agenda for power forward is warranted by them. Be it a bomb, dead American soldiers and civilians, phony National Guard documents, Stolen National Archives documents, 9/11 Ommision reports or spineless RINOs, it makes no matter. Nothing is below them exploiting for their profit.

This idiot has a real future in journalism. He's almost as gullible as rather, and as clueless as olberman. In fact, he's stupid enough to work for CNN.

"He claims he was "an idiot." I claim he still IS an idiot. And a liar. A perfect candidate for an MSM job.
No employment worries here.
