I've been trying all day to get a report from Slidell....it seems since the French Quarter didn't get flooded, nothing else matters.
I thought I saw a report out of Slidell...but I've been out of pocket for awhile. I'll see if I can find it. May take a bit of time.

I share your concern and frustration. However, I'm fearing the reason we're not hearing anything coming out of Slidell is more than just an apathetic media. Brace yourself and be strong. That's what I'm trying to do.
Indeed, as long as the rich people from out of town see that their playgrounds haven't been ruined, i.e. French Quarter and Biloxi casinos, that's all they care about.
If it were possible I'd reach into my tv screen and throttle the next reporter that says something along the lines of "looks like things didn't turn out so bad after all."

Kinda strange..the people I know used to live in NO and the French quarter and moved to the outskirts..they made it through Betsy & Camille ok lets hope their luck holds...
To all the libs on the coasts, the French Quarter is the only thing in the Southern U.S. that matters.
