Shep is making me nervous. He is talking like NO has "dodged" the mother0fallstorms. I wish he wouldn't talk that way, for he might make Momma Nature want to show him who is boss...

I do hope he is right, but worry that he might be wish-casting.

News reporter on KFWB Los Angeles radio was just supposed to go live with some news crews hunkered down in Downtown New Orleans. They could not go live. Not due to malfunctions, but due to the following second hand quote out of the New Orleans news anchor 'There is a lot of #$%%$$ going on'. Apparently in last 20 minutes the > 100 MPH winds have hit.

He's just trying to make himself feel better. Can't blame him, I guess. Yesterday he seemed pretty shaken as anybody would be.

The guy in the street seems to have more of a handle on reality, (and what happened to the guy at the Dome, I think his name was Jeff Goldblatt.)

But it sounds like Shep thinks they've dodged the bulled and doesn't think they'll be flooding, and maybe there won't, but I don't think the thread of flooding has past.
