I ve been watching the weather buoy info and it is still showing 50 kmph winds and 40 ' waves - that happens every year!

I think we have been hyped.

Where is this 160 mph everyone is talking about?

lol. I've heard 3 different POINTS of contact of Katrina. I just heard the storm (east? I'm confused now) of Grand Isle... and that the storm looked "headed" FOR New Orleans.

But, something I've been thinking since last night... Does anyone know if there is any country in the world which has "evacuation and/or shelter" plans (and sites) like the US does?

Just heard 4 shelters in NC -- is also open to those LEAVING the storm hit areas.
