Some guys on FR like the drama, even if it means bad things. They do not like to hear good news.Do me a favor and shut up. I'm posting what I see on other websites as are other people. I'd like nothing better than this storm to disappear. If you aren't going to contribute to the content of the thread, just lurk.

Well, it's not just people in here; it's the media, too, and people in general. Modern life is pretty safe and routine, so these disasters become almost like entertainment, and some people start hoping for the worst outcome as providing the most entertainment - if they're far enough away from the scene, that is. But as we've seen with Steve Harrigan and the guy mooning the hurricane, even people on the scene often treat these disasters like entertainment.
