He died laughing.
Finally, Steve runs for cover (it took a large piece of roof almost landing on him)!
Please, this isn't a time for stupid jokes.
Please stay safe. I love PDAs! Please keep us posted about yourself.
He past stupid quite awhile ago...
Heard yesterday that there are some 5,000 oil rigs in the Gulf which represent 1/3 of our US oil.
Sky Hooks.
Just kidding, helicopters.
The Superdome is between the French Quarter and the Garden District. You essentially drive by it as you head west on St. Charles Avenue (the trolley car street).
I died everytime he said WOOOOOOOOOOAH!
I was watching at 6:30am Central Time and the cameraman wanted to go in THEN. Harrigan's an idiot.
7 Feet of water on 1st floor--East Jefferson hospital in NOLA
This is just crazy. I know he likes to be where the news is at, but this is nuts. FNC needs to stop talking to him so he has no option but to stay in relative safety.

I think just about every news outlet has someone standing outside in the middle of the storm -- seemed yesterday all of them had reporters standing where the surf was coming up and the wind was blowing the trees violently. And this was well before Katrina hit.
These news folks aren't going to learn till one of their kind gets killed covering storms like this. Sorry, but I don't think we need to have a guy standing outside in the middle of a fierce hurricane to tell us how bad it is.
The Weather Channel has been carrying some info on the storm referencing its approach to those areas.....

Katrina tears away pieces of Superdome's roof
NEW ORLEANS (AP) Hurricane Katrina ripped away pieces of the roof of the Superdome, where thousands of New Orleans residents sought shelter from 145 mph winds.
.
At the Superdome, home to 9,000 storm refugees, wind peeled off pieces of metal on the golden roof, leaving two holes that were visible from the floor. Water dripped in, and people were moved away.
Others stayed and watched as sheets of metal, flapped and rumbled loudly. From the floor, looking up more than 19 stories, it appeared to be openings of about 6 feet long.
General Manager Glenn Menard said he did not know how serious the problem was. We have no way of getting anyone up there to look, he said.
Scores of windows were blown out at some of New Orleans hotels.
Katrina, which had strengthened a day before into a 175-mph Category 5 behemoth before weakening, still had hurricane winds extending 120 miles from its center.
Along U.S. 90 in Mississippi, the major coastal route that is home to the states glitzy casinos, sailboats were washed onto the four-lane highway, which was deserted and flooded in areas.
This is a devastating hit weve got boats that have gone into buildings, Gulfport Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said as he maneuvered around downed trees in the city. What youre looking at is Camille II.
It's the outer shell, not the roof itself. calm Down... For Now.
Looks to be French Quarter levee I hear.
Yes he sure did... he almost got zotted by a piece of a roof.
Yes.
They locked the doors to protect the building.
When God was handing out brains did he hear rains and go hide under a tree?
