Ok, stop with the recipes, already, or I am going to be calling my mom with a wish list! ; ) Good luck with the storm, tonite. I'll be thinking of all of you that could be impacted.
I've been through a few hurricanes in SE VA, in some cases going on the air on the local talk radio station in the middle of the night just to keep people going. We kept the phone lines open and passed on reminders not to go sleep with candles burning, helped people who were frightened and had noone else to talk to, and passed on information about the storm itself. Invariable, people ended up trading recipes, whether it was for their favorite comfort food or the injured squirrel they found in the storm. (I know, but people get a weird sense of humor when their life has just been turned upside down.)
Food is an integral part of the coping process and should not be ignored.
