...and the latest central pressure reading is 904 mb -- no real change. This should be giving 160+ mph wind speeds if the sensor can find them.

REcon is in the storm right now. he may have seen a Recon report and mistaken the 140 in it as 140MPH when it may actually be 140KT. Just a speculation.
Last report was 160 MPH, and there has been no recon data since then to change the report to 140.
