The gates of death are about to close. The Jefferson Parish head guy, from his new Parish seat in exile with his aides in St. Tammany said as much about 30 minutes ago.

I-10 west for sure as it goes over the Causeway and they shut it down when the wind gets up but can't remember the speed.

Torie I think they can survive in N.O. regarding the wind damage in some of the larger structures but water maybe another situation especially if the levees are breached via surges or washouts.

I'm surprised at the info from Houma, Thibodaux area that you noted a while ago. That area is a little south of N.O. and slightly west but open flat marsh type country. Even if the winds aren't that strong look for rising water for sure.
