On Fox, they're finally talking about the danger I remember most: the snakes after the hurricane was over. Poisonous snakes. I'll bet you remember those, too.
This is a much larger and very under-reported part of the potential problem. You're talking about every sort too... moccasins, copperheads and various hybrids, along with all the non-poisonous ones all scrambling for high ground along with humans. I've heard many snake stories about Hurricane Audrey.
YES! I'll never forget, the snakes and all the water deaths in St. Bernard parish.
I have to agree with others here that the Mayor of NO didn't do enough to get people to get OUT early enough. This is so hard to watch, gulp!
