This morning, Fox and Friends had a short conversation with Shemane Nugent (wife of rocker Ted Nugent) from Crawford, TX. She is there with the Nugents' charity group for veterans, 'Freedom's Angels'.
I had not heard of this charity before, but it looks like a great thing for our veterans. From the official website:
"Recognizing the tremendous sacrifice military members and their families make for America, Freedom's Angels is a non-profit charitable foundation dedicated to enhancing the lives of America's military members and their families through a variety of activities such as building recreational facilities at military hospitals, donating leisure services like health club memberships and massages, and bringing awareness to the positive things our soldiers do for others."
Shemane was impressive as a spokesperson for Freedom's Angels, and said that Ted was on tour, and he would be there with her otherwise. I provided the link to the Freedom's Angels page from the Nuge's website. Once again, it is nice to see an entertainer support something good in our country.

Check out Ted's website, if you haven't already. He has always been such a big supporter of America and our troops.

I saw her too, but thought she was a bit ditzy. Glad that Fox showed a few moments of the other side of the It's-all-about-me Sindy story.

Th Nuge is still the man. I saw him in concert at Ft Sill OK. Peobally just a few thousand people there and mainly all troops, but he played like his stadiumn days of the 70's. He has always been pro troops, his book "God Guns and Rock and Roll" is quite the rant about his life.
Though I have not heard of this before it does not suprise me. Time to play some Nuge.

We were sitting next to their table at the rally yesterday. I'd not heard of them either - but they really were a very nice bunch of gals... They are doing a great service.. Not "ditzy" types at all.
They were one of many different groups that were there .. all supporting the troops!

I'd really like it if Uncle Ted got to spend some quality time with Moonbat Cindy. ;)

Except for Brit Hume and John Gibson Fox News is becoming pathetic. They show the Sheehan crowd with their Peace signs and refer to counter protesters as The ProWar Crowd. The other day the president gives a rousing speech and before he even introduces Laura they have 3 experts on talking about the speech. At least one of them didn't think the President was floundering and "hopefully" telling the truth.

Hume and Gibson are great to watch. I catch both their shows after work every day.

Of yeah, I'd love to see that broadcast on the news.

Ted Nugent is indeed a patriotic American! He is a strong advocate of the Second Amendment to the Constitution!

Well we had to head home yesterday right after the rally - however if there are any MORE rally's in South Texas I imagine we'll be there... laugh!
I would like to look into the Freedom Angel's work a little further - they do a lot with BAMC in San Antonio. We live about 45 miles from there.. :)

Shemane Nugent
Shemane is gorgeous, well spoken and has grace and class.
So typical of conservative women.
And so unlike Cindy Sheehan and her band of unwashed, hairy legged, incoherent, Rosie O'Donnell types.

Dallas/Fort Worth Star-Telegram 8-28-05 Jack Douglas Jr.
CRAWFORD TX-
President Bush's supporters poured into Crawford by the thousands Saturday,
for the first time outnumbering war protesters led by Cindy Sheehan,
who began a vigil here three weeks ago,
demanding a personal meeting with the vacationing president
to talk about her son's death in Iraq.
Lame Stream Media : News Flash!
President Bush already met with Cindy Sheehan months ago for over 10 minutes.
Quit lying!!!!
