Eyewall replacements happen all the time, 4-6 hours for a storm this size if I understand right from the weather bloggers. Projecting the replacements for landfall is all but impossible. Even if, according to the local station there, there is an eyewall replacement at JUST the right time, we're talking a disastrously strong Cat 4 --
