I don't think even Andrew was a Cat 5 when it hit Louisiana. We were without electricity for 3 - 4 days after that, in Baton Rouge!

Andrew was Cat 4 but was re-categorized 10 yrs later based on new information. It's now officially a Cat 5.

I think Andrew was a 3 when it hit near Houma.
I was working that night when it passed and a tornado touched down near here in LaPlace.
