The women who are currently on the weather channel are not able to cover this with the proper degree of seriousness. It's like they were schooled in the "cheerfl morning person" mode of weather reporting and can't talk any other way.
the storm/eye is so wide even if it goes over NO.. the MS coast would still be in the far right eyewall with Cat 3 winds....
Either that or they are scared slap silly.

You're right. I was watching. They act like they're talking about a morning shower. It's very wrong. The Weather Channel is not what it used to be.
But on the better side, I saw that FoxNews had Amy Kellogg in the studio last night doing a show. She earned it, she's great.

TWC is worthless. I just watched it for 15 minute right through the ten of time frame and they did not even give the wind speed before they went back to all there automatic crap. Finally got the wind speed from Fox when the reporter mentioned it. It sounds strong.
