Nagin was actually the best they had. He went in and tried to at least be different but he neglected to note that effective leadership is the last thing an urban black community demands. He has been pretty crippled by people who criticize him constantly for 'tying his shoes like a white guy'.
That's almost as scary as having a cat4 hurricane bearing down on you. :(
