WWL reporting the swath of 150+ mph wind would be around 35 miles wide, the middle 20 miles would "only" have to deal with the north and south eyewall. Traffic improving along secondary routes (Airline-especially). Left lanes on I-10 west open all the way to BR; right lanes diverted up I-55 to the northshore.

I'm almost speechless.

Even if she weakens a bit, it's going to be unthinkable. I just pray it manages to miss the most heavily populated areas.

Since it will come in east of NO, but by about 30 miles at most probably, they will still have some really rough stuff to deal with.

They may be able to avoid having the worst flooding, however.

And probably hundreds would still die.
