I didn't say it was, and that's not the point of the song. However, your objection to a display of yellow ribbons that have the same symobology as portrayed in that song, is demonstrative of a most incredible obtuseness on your part.
Again -- google "bring them home yellow ribbon". The evidence is there and not very obtuse at all.
