I have to agree with STAR. they are calling for storm surges of between 18-21 ft if it tags New Orleans.. If those people do not get out, people are going to die.

I agree, yes, BUT why can't they show the Rally for 15mins? The puppy story took precedents over the Troop rally...sad! Katrina is taking it's time, the rally happening NOW. All we ask is for some fair play, that's all.

Do you folks really imagine that the Emergency Warning System hasn't been bonging and buzzing and scrolling warnings on EVERY tv/raio station in the affected area for the past 48 hours ??

Anyone down there who's not already gone or in the process of leaving is likely stockin' up on bourbon and beer for a hurricane party.

Your concern is commendable, but meanwhile an opportunity is being squandered (or purposely ignored) to raise the morale of our troops and the 100,000,000 people in the country who have to listen to nonstop media diarrhea every other damned day of the year.
