Actually, the Protest Warriors went to Camp Cindy, which was where they were heading next anyway.
They understood that it was a big misunderstanding. I spoke with ProtestWarrior myself. It was an ordeal, but I think everyone was cool after the dust settled. At least that was my read on the situation.
Even the "victim" admitted that he could see how the misunderstanding could happen. But it WAS quite a scene, and I think the poor guy was literally terrified.
You got that right, they had no idea people would respond the way they did.Their signs were so explosive that the first few words was enough to set off this crowd today. not the place or time.
I'm glad to know that the poor kid was understanding about it. I can see how it could happen in a crowd of people who were not used to protesting. I guess Freepers assume that the whole world should know the things we know. Sad to say they don't.
Re your post about the Protest Warrior being 'terrified' by the reaction he encountered, I've been thinking that if people like Cindy keep this up, we'll be on the verge of civil war. Or am I being an alarmist. You can't not protest because that let's her POV be the ONLY one but at the same time, what happend to Gil or whoever it was of the PWs that got shaken up, shows me the depth of feeling is really running high on our side because we've been silent for so long...maybe too long, and in order to make ourselves heard we have to shout louder now.
