That appeared to be a ProtestWarrior sign being torn apart. It looks like someone made a mistake out of ignorance of ProtestWarrior's subtle use of irony in their signs.

Thanks for the compliments... we had a lot of fun.
It might have been, I just know that it was a CRAZY thing going on, and the police grabbed a fella and EVERYONE was getting pushed all over the place. (Quite fun actually)
I really wish I could make it to Washington, but just do not see how that could be possible.

True but this was a support the troops rally and an anti cindy rally. The crowd initially knocked the signs out of their hands and they fell to the ground. The crowd was standing on the signs so they could not be picked up. The protesters left. I picked up the one sign and because of its size started to tear the paper from it and when I did the frenzy from others started, thats when the media started all the pics. The sign I tore up said" War never solves anything" in very large letters and in small letters "unless a democrat is president" . The signs took away fromm the moments that was on the stage at the time, real bad timing.

All I saw was the top of the sign that said "Bush is a dictator." The crowd booed and the sign went down. A media swarm formed and I couldn't see anything after that.
