You just have to look at this from the perspective that the press (including FOX) is irrelevant. Think that rally would have been co-ordinated, communicated and attended IF they actually mattered? Nope. Yet ordinary decent hard working Patriotic and many God fearing men and women showed up and the 'bought and paid rent a protestors' were shamed by not being able to rummage anywhere NEAR the numbers of the good guys. Nor can they stop this information from being disseminated. Nor can anyone forget, the people in D.C. know the TRUTH. They may not always stand up for Truth, but they KNOW which people were authentic and which which were bought. They know the real numbers. And I'm telling you, the MSM, Dems and people like Hagel aren't feeling too good right now with the knowledge MORE people are on the side of this President, troops and war than against it. THIS rally meant more than any of those bogus polls they've been floating around.
feel proud of those heros that stood to defend heros, it's the MSM that is being shamed right now as they try to ignor, spin and lie about what happened. It doesn't change it DID happen and it represents a sizeable majority of this country that ain't going to reward anyone that cuts and runs.
However, want to do something? Take a flag and sign and stand on a street corner. Organize more parades and rallies in your town. If you live near where Cindy's tour is going to pass on the way to d.C., arrange to freep her on her stops.
WE, the PEOPLE, are more important than the press and it was proven today.
I agree.
I have never wanted "fair and balanced" from any network.
I just wanted the unvarnished truth -- NOT THEIR AGENDA.
I heard on the news that the first stop on the Cindy tour is DeLay's hometown. Hope that helps with some freep planning.
Soul Seeker, your post is right on the money. The media is irrelevant....those who went to Crawford today, did so because they love their country, our troops and our President. I'm guilty...I've been so annoyed at Fox....but, you put it right into perspective. Better to do something postive and pro-active than be reactive and angry at Fox. Thanks for the wake up call.
Thanks for the reply. I wish I could believe it... that people can see that our folks at Camp Qualls are sincere. But most people don't pay that much attention. They think if they see it on the b'cast news it is true. And if they do not see it on their TV - it did not happen!
That is why I am so frustrated. People in this country (well, all people I guess) are influenced by what they see others doing. Seeing this might strengthen their support for the war. Seeing Cindy will weaken it.
And the MSM makes damn sure that the American public does not SEE or HEAR us - at all. Ever. No matter what we do.
They know damn well we're out here. They saw the election returns. Over half of this country is conservative. But they figure if they keep feeding us liberal shiq, we will grow to like it. You think the MSM isn't feeling too good right now... because they know we're out here. I just don't get that. Sure, they are losing audience, losing ratings, losing ad dollars. But EVEN THOUGH IT IS AGAINST THEIR OWN INTERESTS - they keep up with the bias.
Not that I watch much TV... but I am not watching at all anymore. And I am going to write and tell them why. If they want to reach me (if they ever decide to present my point of view as reasonable and worthwhile), they know where to find me - on the Internet.
