Just e-mailed this to Fox:

I don’t much care about a hurricane that won’t be here for another 36 hours. We see hurricanes hit the US coast every year. Every year, you guys and every other news channel drag out some reporter, plop his or her butt on the beach and roll tape. Every year we see the winds, the waves, the rain, the floods, the hapless idiots who ride it out…yeah, yeah, we get it, ok?! Hurricanes hurt. They have been since recorded time.

Likewise, I care little about either of these over-reported non-news stories:

Natalee Holloway’s disappearance in Aruba- Tragic, yes. Newsworthy, hardly. OVER REPORTED- definitely. This story is D-E-A-D and has been for over a month. Please catch up with the rest of us and inform Greta to pack it in.

Any celebrity news nonsense- I don’t care about “news” of narcissistic people who live in a dream world. I don’t care about Russell Crowe and his temper tantrum telephone throw. I don’t care about Olivia and her lost mystery boyfriend and I sure as hell don’t care about seeing a millionaire pedophile with bleached skin and an army of lawyers continue to get free publicity.

Here’s what I (and I dare say a majority of Americans) care about. I care about the fact that not a single media outlet, including yours, covered the Counter-protest against Cindy Sheehan and her handlers today other than very briefly, and even then using only some taped video and stock background of Crawford.

This is a big story of national scale and importance that requires your attention. What happened to fair and balanced? Sheehan gets wall to wall coverage for the past three weeks, abuses her son’s good honor to gain international attention, becomes a propagandist for our enemies and yet, when challenged by a large turnout of Americans supporting our President and the troops in harms way, it draws no live coverage of any substance.

This woman’s actions in Crawford are having a direct effect on troop morale and embolden our enemies. We are at war, remember? The story of Americans overwhelmingly against Cindy Sheehan and her handlers deserves more than a fleeting quip or a ticker comment at the bottom of your screen. At a minimum, this story should garner the same attention as the non-stories you keep going on with ad nausea hour after hour.

Get it together, Fox! You’re slipping badly!!

P.S.- We already have a CNN. We don’t need or want another one.

Can we get some purple ink for the fingers of our 3000+ and have them all converge on the little camp in question, fingers raised in support of our troops, and the people of Iraq?
