A caricature is a drawing or illustration that exaggerates the features of the subject. Sometimes caricatures are affectionate distortions, such as the chalk drawings people "sit" for at county fairs and seashore towns. Another example is the drawings of theater folk by the famous Hirschfeld, who always included the name of his daughter Nina in his pen strokes of each drawing. But caricatures in political life are often used to cruelly parody the subject.
The item sticking out the car window was a true-to-life "actual-sized photo cut-out" of President Bush. But of course "caricature" sounds more negative....
