The spin of the Earth's core is an important part of the dynamo that created the planet's magnetic field

It needs to be magnetic to do that. But, it isn't. The atmosphere is, though.

Center of the earth is molten nickel iron....The magnetic field runs up through it.... then out the north magnetic pole and around and back into the south magnetic pole.

Buck Rogers stuff.....magnetic NP moves around all the time which is why maps showing magnetic deviation must change from time to time...

All dry stuff...sipping a beer is better
