Local Military Dad organizes "Rally to Support President Bush" in Rancho Cucamonga
On Monday (8/29), Doug from Upland, whose son-in-law is a Navy Petty Officer who served three tours of duty in the Middle East will be holding a press conference at 1 pm -- near the corner of Base Line and Milliken, outside the Central Park Senior Center in Rancho Cucamonga where President Bush is scheduled to speak later that day.

DFU has also organized a "Rally to Support President Bush," which will begin at the end of his press conference, and he says that he expects DOZENS of local residents to join him as they show their support for President Bush, and his steadfast determination to win the Global War on Terror.
"We're going to have some signs and a bullhorn to support our president," said Mr. DFU, in an interview published in the San Bernardino Sun (8/27) http://www2.sbsun.com/news/ci_2977498

Joining doug from upland will be ALOHA RONNIE from Chino Hills who served in Vietnam during the battle at IA Drang Valley which formed the basis for Mel Gibson's movie "We Were Soldiers."

Says Aloha Ronnie, "Freedom's arrival in all of the countries of the Middle East will be America's own best self-protection against future terrorist attacks here at home."

Military Dad doug from upland and Vietnam Vet ALOHA RONNIE met through the conservative Internet news forum FreeRepublic.com, whose members have organized grassroots events to support President Bush all across the United States, including the THOUSANDS who recently joined the cross-country caravan, "You Don't Speak for ME, Cindy" Tour led by California talk radio host Melanie Morgan.

LOL!
Perhaps, but YOU are the "local interest" - being from Upland, which is just down the street from Rancho Cucamonga...
- and YOU have a son in the military, which is a powerful antidote to the message from Cindy Sheehan.
Besides, you have a talent for talking with the media that I have not yet mastered. :o)

NEVER FORGET

Heavy support for BUSH's bringing FREEDOM to the oppressed Peoples of the Middle East was very much alive and well today at our Rancho Cucamonga Freep.

The Huge crowd, with 4 to 1 odds in FAVOR of BUSH, sang "GOD BLESS AMERICA" and yelled out our 'Pledge of Allegiance' over an over again before heavy media coverage:

KCAL/KCBS TV (CBS News)
KNBC TV (NBC News)
KABC TV (ABC News)
KTTV TV (FoX News)

...and lots of print media Photographers just a snapping away.

"FREEDOM for the World" was ALOHA RONNIE's Flag-Draped Yell that was just shown during TV Reporter MARK COOGAN's KCAL TV News report that just aired in Southern California.
This Report should air again this afternoon and evening on KCAL Channel 9 & this evening on KCBS Channel 2 in Los Angeles.

Freepers Ron Dog & doug from Upland did an outstanding job putting this particular Freep together. More support for BUSH than even our huge GOD BLESS AMERICA Freep outside the 2003 OSCARS.

They built it first and then the people CAME ..and CAME.

NEVER FORGET

Many, many heartfelt congrats!!! I am so glad to hear about this rally!

Have many questions.

How many attended?

Did the motorcade pass by (even if it did not, you know you presense was noted, and passed on to our President! And that just makes my heart sing!)

Were there police there?

Did you guys get any photos?

I know you made the TV news...but would LOVE to see some shots!

How long did it last?

Were the opposing nuts discouraged with your turnout?

Did you get the spot you wanted to stand upon?

Thanks in advance for details requested.

This outstanding KCAL TV Freep Report also showed a snearing middle aged female Anti-BUSH demontrator being "helped" into the back seat of a Police Car for her irresponsibly blocking traffic.

YES, it was that sweet today, Folks.

BUSH Wins.

Perhaps Fellow Freepers doug from upland & Ron Dog can give you a more complete report as I had to leave after my being interviewed for KNBC & KABC TV News on BUSH's behalf. The heat today and my age just don't mix sometimes.

If you see photos tomorrow in the Print Media, you may see me with my black Vietnam Veteran cap and a pretty American Flag draped across my torso ...holding 3 "W" fingers up in the hot air =

During its 4:00 pm local Southern California TV Broadcast today KCBS Channel 2 News ran its companion station KCAL News' outstanding Story on our BUSH Freep in its entirety.

During the same TV News hour KABC Channel 7 only showed the Anti-BUSH crowd, even though KABC interviewed a couple of us on our Pro-BUSH side of the street and taped our huge crowd extensively..!!!

DFU on the scene | 8-29-05 | dfu

Under absolutely oppressive Southern California Inland Empire August heat, the good guys showed up in force to support the President and the troops.

There were a handful of FReepers there that I recognized including bittdrvr, Blurblogger, Joy Angela, Aloha Ronnie, and RonDog. Darn, come on, who am I forgetting?

There had to be perhaps 300 there on our side, and it was refreshing to outnumber the airheads on the other side...
