I wish more Republican politicians would develop spines. I am getting sick of jelly fish Republicans. They need to do what is right and damn the torpedoes.
I totally agree with you in wishing the Republican Party would develop a backbone. I've always voted Republican, but I've come to realize that both parties are more alike than they are different. Republicans are supposed to be the party of smaller government and the fiscal conservatives. What a laugh that is! The latest Transportation Bill is a good example--Republicans were lining up for "pork" as much as Democrats.
I read a quote by George Wallace once made: "There's not a dime's bit of difference between the Democrats and Republians." I now believe it.
