BAGHDAD, Iraq -- The bodies of 36 men were discovered Thursday southeast of Baghdad on a road leading to Iran, police said.
The bodies were left on a road leading to Badrah, a town near the Iranian border, police Lt. Abbas al-Shammari said. An official said all but one of the men were wearing traditional Kurdish trousers. All had been shot in the head.

Don't worry, we're winning, and they will reap the benefits of western democracy....or else.
Inflitrators..it has to be an inside job...
But still to the lefty media, the terrorists are freedom fighters on the level of the minutemen...
You're funny.
Police said gunmen attacked a convoy of cars owned by the president, but Talabani wasn't in any of the vehicles. Investigators said 15 bodyguards were wounded. The cars were returning to Baghdad from Kurdistan
8 dead and 15 wounded bodyguards...this must have been a nasty firefight.
definitely. The Iraqi govt has to make clear when infiltrators are caught not only with they be publicly executed, but the perps will have to watch their entire family executed first. Incredible violence must be brought to bear against the terrorists and their supporters. It must be swift and brutal. The violence would decrease dramatically once these terrorist scum know their families will pay with their lives. It may be a brutal approach, but it will save more lives in the long run (including many of our brave Warriors)
Ken if this was an inside job someone feed the bad guys some bad info...they missed their target.
That sounds like the way Saddam ran the country. But I agree.....there is a reason he was so brutal.
So thats were the $ 600,000 that Code Pink donated to the terrorist went to.
Well the target was a general one, a Presidential convoy, so I'm also convinced it was an 'inside job'. Story said the Iraqi President wasn't in any of the cars that were hit, which doesn't mean he wasn't in a car that was not hit.
It could also mean the man is smart enough to understand there are traitors around him, and hence often changes travel routes or plans decoys. Finally, it could also mean he was just damn lucky that day. But such a major attack against what was arragned to look like a Presidential convoy probably was no 'coincidence'.
Do you really believe that the perps would bat an eye of their entire families were off'd? I don't.
Close, close call. If Talabani had died.......
Is that you Saddam? When did they give you internet access?
They don't have to kill infiltrators' families. Just have all the males castrated, all the women sterilized and all their animals slaughtered and the meat offered as door prizes at their public beheading ceremonies!
Damn, Gorelick promised me I wouldn't get noticed :) Yes, I am the President of Iraq! ....Tell my friend Cindy to keep up the good work! /bad comedy lines
I thought so. That whole "kill the family" thing gave you away.
Yep...
Man, it'd be impossible....
