Must read is an understatement ... there is some stuff in there to make your blood boil, like an experienced soldier not with the unit because he was off testifying and then this:
About two weeks ago, word came that Nohe's case had been dismissed by a judge on 7 August. The Coalition was livid. According to American officers, solid cases are continually dismissed without apparent cause. Whatever the reason, the result was that less than two weeks after his release from Abu Ghraib, Nohe was back in Mosul shooting at American soldiers.

Prosser shot the man at least four times with his M4 rifle. But the American M4 rifles are weak--after Prosser landed three nearly point blank shots in the man's abdomen, splattering a testicle with a fourth, the man just staggered back, regrouped and tried to shoot Prosser. Why are the M4 rifles so weak? Is this standard issue? Why shouldn't our troops have more firepower than the terrorists?
Does anyone have a Michael Yon pinglist? His blog is incredible.

VIETNAM REDUX. How stinking long will we make the same rotten mistakes we made in Nam? How long. Can anyone in the white house read? Can they read this blog.
We let the terrorist use Syria, use Iran and our own conservative republican President Bush doesn't even lift a pinkie. Our men are being killed by terrorists and when we risk our lives to catch them alive, we turn them over to judges who release them? AND ON TOP OF THAT, WE ARE ENDING UP FIGHTING TO PROP UP A CONSTITUTION THAT MANDATES
I S L A M as the OFFICIAL RELIGION.
Insane is an understatement for whoever is in charge of these rules of engagement.

Just kill them. Of course their fellow travellers will cut them loose. What do you expect? Just kill them or don't complain.

Your right. Before you read this, you need to have something that you can hit repeatedly and take some Saint Johns Wort. It is unbelievable that we are still using the same worthless rules and procedures that have proven to be a failure in Nam.
Hey Mr. President Bush. Read this Blog! Order the Pentagon, State Department whoever, to take the dam gloves off in Iraq! We don't have the time, and our troops are to precious to be fighting under restrictions like these. When our troops risk their lives to capture someone, we should be the ONLY ones who decide if that punk goes free.

I sent the link of Yom's blog to USA today via email and told them I might consider becoming a subscriber again if they printed gripping, informative articles like this one. I doubt they will listen since making an army soldier look like a hero is not allowed.
