If God has the right to do something, it means there is a list of rights he has and, presumably, a list of rights he does not have. Who created such a list? From what source does God get rights? Himself? That means he can change the rights he gives himself at any time. That doesn't seem like much of a "right."
Which leads to the age-old question: When God acts, does he do what he does because it is right, or is it right because he does it?

Hmm, no - God's "rights" are absolute, not like man's which are relative. His are totally independent from man's perceived "dos" and "don'ts". It's called being "Sovereign".

I didn't see that anyone had answered it.
I think the correct answer to both sides of this question is "yes".
Yes, God acts because it is right,
(all that issues from God is holy)
AND
Yes, it is right because God does it.
(God himself is holy)
