Sorry if I'm uninformed. My parents tried to raise me as a Catholic, but it didn't quite take. Don't worry, I believe in the groundwork and principles, I just haven't found faith yet to believe in the miracles

Might want to check out a few things...

I would recommend a book called "From the Angel's Blackboard" - the Best of Fulton J. Sheen

And on EWTN on Fridays at 9pm there is a program called "Life is worth Living".. its 30 minutes, and is a believe it or not former PRIME TIME NETWORK SHOW from the 50s and 60s....

Take the 30 minutes, and see what you think... Catholicism is far more than what children are taught in Sunday school... alas, generally the message is not delivered robustly or loudly to the young adult/adult much these days.

Check it out, I think you will be suprised.

Being a well dressed and proper gentlemen should never be confussed with being ponced dandy boy.

To be a “well dressed and proper gentleman”, a man must be shaved, waxed, primped and perfumed?

When I was growing up we had shows like Grizzly Adams.

Now we have shows like queer eye.

The left has destroyed television as we knew it.

Plus, we haven't had a good talking car show for decades.

Knight Rider comes to mind. David Hasselhof played an evil twin with a twinkle in his eye and a goatee. But the talking car was the star of the show.

(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)

My Mother The Car set the bar really high for talking car shows.

Hah! What a bunch of wusses these "guys" are. Reminds me of a time I had to use an Army napkin to blow my nose at Pat O'Brians(Hold one nostril and blow), and I heard a table go, "Ewww!" Well, when I looked over, it was a table full of "guys" with their faces shrieking, talk about c@nts! LOL, they all cringed.

I am almost positive that she is the "Deb" who posted here regularly in '98 and '99.

Really? Our "Deb" had kind of a nasty edge to her, if I recall...but then a lot of the Lewinsky-era Freepers did. It's amazing how few from back then are still posting here, at least under their original names. But I changed mine, too, so I can't really criticize that. ;)

I prefer to think that I'm just wearing a fur sweater!

If it's not mink, I am not interested ;)

As I said, I'm not sure if it's her, but I think so. And, she just might have taken a bit of her edge off when writing for official publication.

Now, on to the important stuff: my name has been the same here since our formative years, what was your previous handle? (C'mon...I won't tell).

I am. The feel of crisp hairs against my skin is a huge turnon. I can't stand a man's skin that's softer than mine!

Ha, ha, ha! Happy chaffing to ya :)

Always quite happy with my mustache .... but there was a time (actively "social") when I would have been glad to let this "beauty shop" have a go at my back. ;-)

(Shudder)...Thanks for the mental image :-P and nothing wrong with a nice mustache :)

Precisely it, if you live in a hot climate like South Florida you get to see a lot of bare backs and, at least to my taste, I am not enticed by Chewbacca. If waxing is too emasculating or painful they should do the world a favor and use an electric shaver instead.

Better yet, wear a shirt.

Sounds like the effete men of the 17 and 18th centuries with their powdered wigs and stockings.

I'm sorry to you waxers but bare chested men appear to like the bo flex power rod a bit too much.

There's an (almost) legit reason: bodybuilders actually flex in competition, and hair obscures the sixpack. So they at least shave for business reasons. Same with swimmers. The big question is why Hollywood can't seem to find a man with hair on his chest. Do men stop acting after puberty?

teeth cleaning every four months,

The standard per the ADA is every 6 months. I don't see getting your teeth cleaned as metrosexual!

Better yet, wear a shirt.

A hard task to do on a beach. Besides, you clearly haven't spent time in So Florida, I live here, tank tops are a must most of the year, heat and humidity being the main culprits.
